I made the basics of the classic Breakout game in CodeHS. This game contains a moving ball that will bounce off of the paddle, bricks and walls. There are no lives and there is currently no way to “win” although you can destroy all of the bricks. If you want to play it click on the link.
Code.org multi screen app
Last week in class we have had the opportunity to design our own multi screen app on code.org. As the name suggests the multi screen app is a app with multiple screen as you click on certain features of the app the purpose of the multi screen app is to help with the basic knowledge of how developers make screen eve though this is just the basic step it gives a look into how they are made. down below there is a link to the multi screen app that I’ve created please feel free to give it a try

Multi-Screen Apps in Code.org
One project I have recently worked on in Code.org is a project involving the creation of multi-screen apps. In this process I used a combination of event handling and event-driven programs to create a multi-screen app that has no dead ends and has a functional use. The code that went into the making of this app was relatively simple. It involved using functions to transfer screens or play sounds when a button assigned to the function or sound was pressed.
Pictured above is the sound board app that I created. Check it out with the link posted below

Earsketch Competition
Recently I was working on a music completion through Amazon. My friend Asher really likes music so he asked me to do it with him. After working on it for half a week I thought it would be fun if we both entered different songs. So after making three to four songs I finally created the one I wanted. Below you will see a link to my song and a picture of the program we used called Earsketch. This program allows you to make music either with JavaScript or Python.

Construct 3
Construct 3 is an online program that allows users to create video games, either through a browser or on a desktop. It is an amazing program that helps create a strong foundation for video game development practices, such as organizing code and creating your own assets. You can create a multitude of different games, all the way from shooters to side scrolling adventure games. The sky is the limit, and the company behind Construct 3 make sure that everyone has access to materials to help even beginners who want to experiment with video game development.
Gibby’s Draggy World (beta)
I have created a prototype of the game I’m making, Gibby’s Draggy World. The gimmick of the game is that you have to drag blocks around to help Gibby reach the goal. The first world consists of 5 levels that are all small. The next worlds will have bigger world with more complex dragging puzzles. The art in the game is all temporary and will eventually be changed.
The link below will lead you to the game. Check it out. Post your comments.
Sky Run
A simple platform game I created in Construct 3 with graphics produced in Piskel. Click the link below to play.
Girls Go Cyberstart
This semester, the Coding, App, and Game Design program decided to make a small club called the “JRTI Cyber Club.” This club is to compete in “Girls Go Cyberstart.” This competition allows girls to access CyberSecurity learning resources. As participants, we take the role of security agents that have to stop gangs of cyber criminals and prevent several organisations from being attacked. While competing we’ve learned things like cryptography, digital forensics, and open source intelligence gathering. The program increases its level of difficulty as we continue to play. The difficulties range from easy, medium, hard, and extreme. Currently, our team of four are competing in the “Assess” stage, it closes on February 14th, 2020. We must have a score of five or more by the deadline to qualify for the next stage which is “Game.” We could win up to $1,350 for our school by competing.
Working Together
Therapeutic Services students invited the Coding, App, and Game Design students to a blood pressure screening. This lays the groundwork for a collaborative project to design a educational app for to promote healthy blood pressure for West Virginians.
AAA Awards
Congratulations to Xavier and Nathaniel for receiving the 1st semester AAA Award from JRTI Studios. The award recognizes students who have improved or excelled significantly in one or all of the following areas: attendance, achievement, and attitude.
